I grew up as a young adult in Brooklyn New York however, originally I was born in Barbados and migrated to the United States with my Family in my late Teenage stage of Life . I was married to my Late Husband where we had two children a girl and a boy starting from the Mid eighties and moving forward. I attended CUNY College where I completed the requirements to achieve my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
For the past 20 years of my working experience as a Medical Professional, I provided Direct Care to Infants and Adults being employed at NYCHHC Hospital.
Currently, for the past 10 years I have been a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) providing services to Families throughout the New York and Metropolitan Areas who seeks care for their Newborn babies.
I have completed extensive training in Newborn Baby Feeding Methods and lactation, Sleep routines and conditioning , Postpartum period and My tasks includes working to establish overall scheduling with the infants based on baby needs and the parent’s preferences.
As a Newborn Care Specialist my long and short term goals are to provide the best care for infants from 0 to 6 months or maybe up until 1year of the Child’s Early Development and Finally, I am very passionate about the services and support I provide to new Moms as they recuperate from Childbirth and adjust to they new roles in life with their Newborn baby.

“We hired Sonja when baby was 2 weeks old. My husband was bed ridden due to a fall and had a toddler as well. We flew her out to LA because she came recommended from another night nanny we knew. She stayed for 2 weeks and was incredibly nurturing for our baby. She was just great. Sonja tried to start good habits with my daughter. Not to hold her too much. Rock her, soothe her, put her down- it worked really well. I liked how proactive Sonja was- it really helped us get on a better schedule after she left. I would recommend her to anyone!”
